What is in it. The Sex Drive contains arginine, L-carnitine, L-taurine, vitamin B12, selenium and zinc, glutathione and the Myers cocktail (B vitamins, magnesium and calcium). Arginine is an amino acid the body uses to make nitric oxide, which a 2022 review describes as a regulator of blood vessel dilation; the same review notes there is little scientific evidence for nitric oxide supplements. L-carnitine is needed to carry long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria for energy. Taurine is an amino acid found in very high concentrations in heart and muscle. Doses follow our medical director’s protocols.
Who chooses it. The Sex Drive is chosen by adults who want to feel energised and refreshed, often couples booking a session together before a weekend away, an anniversary or a holiday. We are honest about the evidence: no good research shows that an IV drip changes libido or sexual function, and this drip does not treat any medical condition. How to book, in 3 simple steps
Book online. Choose your drip, a walk-in lounge (Sunninghill, Stellenbosch or Queenstown) or a mobile drip at your home, office or hotel, and a time at book.mobivive.co.za.
Medical screening. You complete a short medical questionnaire before your drip, so anything that needs extra care is picked up first.
Relax while a registered nurse gives your drip. Most drips take about 45 minutes; NAD+ is given slowly over 90 to 120 minutes.
Is the libido drip right for me? You complete a medical screening questionnaire, which a registered nurse reviews under the protocols of our medical director, Dr Chris van Zyl. Tell us first if you have a heart, kidney or liver condition, are pregnant, or take chronic medication, including any medicine for blood pressure, chest pain or erections. Anyone with erectile dysfunction, heart disease or another medical condition should keep seeing their own doctor and tell us before booking. The nurse places a small cannula in your arm and the drip runs for about 90 minutes, so allow close to two hours.
