Walk-In Lounges and a Mobile IV Bar

IV Bar
Lounges & Mobile

An IV bar is a lounge where you sit back in a comfortable chair while a registered nurse gives you a vitamin and hydration drip, and mobivIVe runs three of them in South Africa: Sunninghill in Johannesburg, Dorp Street in Stellenbosch and Medipark in Queenstown (Komani). Some people call it an IV drip bar, a drip lounge or a vitamin drip bar, and it works the same way under every name. You choose a drip from our menu, complete a short medical screening and the nurse stays with you for the whole infusion, about 45 minutes for most drips. Drips cost from R750 to R3,050, and the saline bag is never charged extra. Our nurses have given more than 15,000 IV treatments since 2021.

Our IV bar lounges. Sunninghill, Johannesburg: Office UG8, Sunninghill Village Shopping Centre, 97 Edison Crescent, open Mon to Fri 09:00 to 18:00, Sat 09:00 to 16:00, Sun and public holidays 10:00 to 14:00. Stellenbosch: Ground floor, 5 Dorp Street, Stellenbosch Central, open Mon to Fri 09:00 to 18:00, Sat 09:00 to 14:00. Queenstown (Komani): 43 Grey Street, Medipark, open Mon to Fri 09:00 to 17:00, Sat 09:00 to 12:00. Walk-ins are welcome, and booking ahead guarantees your chair.

The mobile IV bar in Cape Town. In Cape Town there is no lounge to walk into: the IV bar comes to you. A registered nurse brings the drip to your home, office, hotel or event in Camps Bay, Clifton, Sea Point and Green Point; Durbanville, Bellville, Brackenfell and Kraaifontein; Table View, Bloubergstrand, Parklands and Sunningdale; and Somerset West, Strand and Gordon’s Bay (see IV drips in Cape Town and mobile IV drips). The call-out fee is R400 minimum, or R150 per person for groups, within the first 15km. On the evidence, a study of healthy volunteers in the Annals of Internal Medicine found intravenous vitamin C reached far higher blood levels than the same dose by mouth, although higher blood levels alone do not prove a health benefit.

How to book, in 3 simple steps

  1. Book online. Choose your drip, a walk-in lounge (Sunninghill, Stellenbosch or Queenstown) or a mobile drip at your home, office or hotel, and a time at book.mobivive.co.za.
  2. Medical screening. You complete a short medical questionnaire before your drip, so anything that needs extra care is picked up first.
  3. Relax while a registered nurse gives your drip. Most drips take about 45 minutes; NAD+ is given slowly over 90 to 120 minutes.

Booking your IV bar visit. Go to book.mobivive.co.za, choose your drip and pick the Sunninghill, Stellenbosch or Queenstown lounge, or “Your Home, Office, etc.” for the mobile IV bar. A short medical screening questionnaire comes before any line goes in, and every drip follows the protocols set by our medical director, Dr Chris van Zyl, with a registered nurse at your side. Let us know beforehand if you are pregnant, take chronic medication, or have a heart, kidney or liver condition. Every drip comes in a 200ml or 1000ml saline bag at no extra cost, and extra vitamins can be added on the day. Compare every drip on our IV drip prices page, or WhatsApp 061 509 6038.
